Mingo and I headed to the stage at Santa Fe’s Jackalope store (which is more like a small village than a shop!) and went over school skills: counting to ten, how to sit at a desk, how to avoid being pecked in the schoolyard, and the best way to impress your teacher.
The weather was a glory today. Thank you to everyone who chatted it up with the flamingo!

Hi, it’s me, Mingo. It was a great day today doing shows celebrating the 17th of August, the day that George Washington and Betsy Ross crossed the Rio Grande and invented enchiladas…. Or was it the 5th of July, 2010 B.C. and they discovered spaghetti and meatballs??? You tell me!!!
It was extremely great to meet Madison, Alene, Jonah, Kate, Sam and Allison and play my amazing Game Show, NAME THAT BIRD, and FLAMINGO YOGA.
Did I forget anybody’s name? Please blog to me and remind me tomorrow on the 23rd of April, the day that Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to my Aunt Hortensia, the flamingo witch of the Swamp, who invented shrimp scampi. We will be celebrating a lot in The Swamp.

Yes, hello. Tomorrow I will be doing my 4th of July show at the Jackalope place in Santa Fe, on the stage outside under the cottonwood tree. At 12:30 and at 1:30 and then at 2:30 P.M. for about 15 or 20 minutes each.
I am gathering my show chairs and feathers and my traveling basket. Miss Mayfield is deciding what to wear. It’s a big decision she she has no feathers. I have plenty of feathers, so I have no difficulty about getting dressed.
I will tell everybody all about my new blog because I think it will be fun to blog, which rhymes with bog and fog, and I really like bogs and fogs. Don’t you?
